Germany, SA. A Sports Badge, Type III Silver Grade, by Werner Redo

(SA-Sportabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a sword and mobile swastika on a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked “W. REDO, SAARLAUTERN”, measuring 46.42 mm (w) x 58.78 mm (h), weighing 17.8 grams, with minor loss of finish evident, in better than very fine condition.
