(Ehrenzeichen vom Roten Kreuz). Instituted in 1914. Multi-piece construction, in silver with red, white and green enamels, measuring 36.8 mm (w) x 48.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, chipping and loss evident in the green enamels on the left side of the wreath, original triangular ribbon with hook and eye, the remaining enamels intact, better than very fine.

 

Footnote: The Honour Decoration of the Red Cross 1914-1918 was instituted on August 14, 1914 in three grades: Merit Cross, I Class and II Class, along with Silver and Bronze Grade Medals.
