Germany, Ordnungspolizei. A Rare Wasserschutzpolizei EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by F.W. Assmann & Söhne

(Wasserschutzpolizei Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of gilded aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised mobile swastika, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) in Fraktur script and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter retaining a period original brown leather strap maker marked “F.W. ASSMANN & SÖHNE, LÜDENSCHEID”, above a manufacture date of “1938”, the buckle unmarked and measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), a rare buckle in near mint condition.
