Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and rightward-facing profile of Kaiser Wilhelm II, circumscribed by name and title in Latin, the reverse bearing a central raised depiction of Metz Cathedral, circumscribed by a dedication in Latin, above a date of “1903” in numerals signifying the dedication of the cathedral’s south portal, unmarked, measuring 65 mm in diameter, accompanied by a mis-matched but fitted presentation case, constructed of a light wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a padded white satin lid liner and depressed red velvet medal bed, the lid liner maker marked “DIEGES & CLUST”, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 95 mm (w) x 95 mm (l) x 25 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition.
