Wehrpass of Heinrich Stolz; First War Veteran; Merit Cross Recipient

Wehrpass of Heinrich Stolz Issued June 16th 1937, 54 pages. Born October 15th 1892 in Rockhausen in the Rhineland Palatinate in western Germany. Born a German citizen to a protestant family; his parents were Philipp and Henrietta. He was unmarried at the time of issue. He worked as a farmer, as was his father Philipp, who died in 1924. He underwent military inspection in April of 1937, the same date as the issue of his Wehrpass, at the military administrative district of Kirchheimbolanden. He was deemed capable and combat ready in the second degree and was attached to the national reserve guards. On the 10th of December 1943, he underwent military inspection at the command office in Kaiserslautern as an infantry conscript. The ruling of the inspection was that he was fit for work and affiliated with the local militia. His combat experience ranges from the 4th of august 1914 to the 31st of January 1919 as a sergeant having been promoted in 1918. This entry after the fact is confirmed on the 16th of June 1937 by a captain in the military office in Kirchheimbolanden. During the course of his service in the First World War he was awarded an Iron Cross second class, as well as a Bavarian Merit Cross third class.
