A Karabiner 98k cleaning kit, consisting of a magnetic metal canister measuring 88 mm (w) x 138 mm (l) x 24 mm (h), opening at both ends with functional metal hinges locked in place with bronze clips, the interior divided into four compartments, concealing a large bore brush, a small bore brush, a take-down tool (marked “KY 1939”), and an oiler (marked “MUNDLOS 1940”), the exterior of the case similarly marked “KY 1939”, missing its chain link tool for the insertion and extraction of the bore brushes and with minor age-appropriate oxidation evident, in overall very fine condition.
