Germany, Imperial. A Rare Cut-Out Pilot Badge, by C.E. Juncker

(Flugzeugführerabzeichen). An oval badge constructed of silver plated brass, hollow stamped, the obverse with a standard pilot’s badge motive within a thick wreath, with laurel leaves towards the left, and oak leaves towards the right side of the wreath, separated by a bow on the bottom of the wreath, adorned by a German Imperial crown at the top, the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback, shepherd’s hook catch, and crimped hinge, unmarked but displaying the characteristics of C.E. Juncker, measuring 45.52 mm (w) x 70.43 mm (h), and in extremely fine condition.
