In 14K Gold, a white enamelled Maltese cross with red enamel interior and symbols on each arm, each quadrant presents an eagle with outspread wings, the center medallion in blue inscribed 1812 with a black enamelled ring featuring numerous five pointed stars, an anchor is attached to the reverse, presenting the stock above the cross and the arms below, the reverse in engraved along the anchor “Penna James Baird 371.”, marked BB&B (Bailey Banks & Biddle) on the top of the anchor, measures 27.30mm (w) x 37.65mm (h – inclusive of the integral ring), weighs 14.4 grams, worn on an original ribbon with pin on reverse, light wear on obverse medallion enamel, in extremely fine condition.
