Fabricated from an olive green gabardine wool, with fold down flaps also in olive green gabardine wool on either side, two rising peaks forming a small valley between the two panels, with a 24.3 mm (w) x 25.2 mm (h) blackened bronze United States Marine Corps device held in place via a screwback on the left side. The inside is lined in a silver-coloured polyester, the 23 mm wide sweatband in olive green cotton, with a label stitched in place at the right rear, the label inscribed "CAP, GARRISON, MEN'S / Poly/Wool Gabardine, MC / SPO100-96-D-0339 / BERNARD CAP CO., INC. / SIZE 7 1/4 / NSN# 8405-01-279-7659 / 56% Polyester/44% Wool / DRY CLEAN ONLY", with a number "8" within a circle in black ink over the inscription. The cap measures 285 mm (w) x 120 mm (h), without interruptions in the fabrics and is free of mothing. Near mint.
