Austria, Imperial. An Honour Decoration of the Red Cross, Civil Division Merit Star, c. 1970

A Rothe style decoration of post 1960 manufacture, a silver cross Pattee featuring a red enamelled body with white enamel border, between the arms of the cross is a cluster of seven faceted rays the center medallion features a red cross on white enamel field surrounded by the inscription PATRIAE AC HUMANITATI, reverse medallion is enamelled with dates 1814 1914 on white enamel field with red enamel ring, singular pin suspension, measures 72.9mm (w) x 59.4mm (h), weighs 43.3 grams, enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.
