(Preußische Rote Adlerorden II. Klasse mit Eichenlaub); Issued 1854-1915. An early example of this order consisting of a multirayed silver star with a Gold cross pattee affixed by Gold prongs, with white enameled arms; the obverse with a circular enameled medallion depicting an enameled crowned eagle, surrounded by a white enameled ring, with hand carved Gold lettering “SINCERE ET CONSTANTER” (Latin - Sincere and persistent), with hand etched Gold oakleaves, the reverse with a vertical pin, dual uniform stays, and a functional hinge/catch assembly; measuring 80.13 mm (w) x 81.66 mm (h); weighing 58.0 grams; light enamel contact to the eagle on the obverse, in overall near extremely fine condition.
