Germany, Kriegsmarine. An Officer’s Summer Uniform Breast Eagle

(Kriegsmarine Brustadler für Offiziere). Constructed of gilded aluminum, the obverse consisting of a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an integral hinge and flattened horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, with a stabilizer emanating from the wreath, marked with an “M” indicating Kriegsmarine issue, measuring 95 mm (w) x 38 mm (h), with only slight loss of finish evident to high-contact points, in extremely fine condition.
