Germany, SS. A Visor Cap Totenkopf Insignia, Late-War Example by F.W. Assmann & Söhne

(SS Mützenabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a second-pattern SS Totenkopf, the reverse with all three attachment prongs intact, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, measuring 30.77 mm (w) x 29.40 mm (h), weighing 3.2 grams, with most of the silver finish intact, a late-war example in extremely fine condition.
