(Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, around a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42.14 mm (w) x 52.98 mm (h), weighing 27.5 grams, with oxidation and loss of finish evident throughout, in overall very fine condition.
