In browning copper, second version with six maple leaves design, maker marked "J.R. GAUNT LONDON" on the reverse, measuring 44.7 mm (w) x 48.5 mm (h), both prongs intact, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Canadian Army Pay Corps (Overseas) was organized on August 6, 1914, to pay the troops and maintain important records. They were an arm of the Corps Troops serving throughout the Canadian Expeditionary Force and the Canadian Siberian Expeditionary Force. It was disbanded on November 15, 1920.
