Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS Plane Tree Pattern Reversible Field Cap

(Waffen-SS Platanenmuster Feldmütze). An extremely well-preserved Waffen-SS reversible camouflage field cap, constructed of a weatherproof cotton duck cloth. The exterior is dyed in a classic Plane Tree (Platanenmuster) pattern summer mottle, consisting of a dark brown base overlaid by irregular patches of light and dark green. It folds inside-out to transition to an autumn pattern consisting of a dark brown base overlaid by sporadic patches of medium and light brown. It completes with a protruding cardboard-reinforced visor, with each side similarly finished in a season-appropriate mottle. The autumn side also features an integrated sweatband set around the lower circumference. Unmarked, this small-sized cap measures approximately 195 mm (w) x 250 mm (l) x 110 mm (h). With only minor signs of material fatigue evident near high-contact points, it is in an overall extremely fine condition.
