Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching dual lightning bolts, the reverse with dual visible rivets holding the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “IMME & SOHN, BERLIN”, measuring 42.16 mm (w) x 52.95 mm (h), weighing 35.5 grams in extremely fine condition.
