Germany, RAD. A Labour Service (RAD) EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle by Hermann Aurich

(Reichsarbeitsdienst Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse with a raised shovel head overlaid by a mobile swastika, within a circular ring bearing raised wheat stalks, the reverse with a loop and dual attachment prongs connecting to a period original leather strap, the buckle maker marked with the logo of Hermann Aurich, Dresden, the strap stamped with a maker’s mark of “AURICH, DRESDEN, 1937”, measuring 63 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
