A fine quality manufacture textbook example of this rare and very desirable Royal Bavarian Merit Order of St. Michael Grand Cross Star; in silver with the four arms in gilded silver; center oblique with the lettering “Quis ut Deus - Who is like God” in gold and with deep blue patterned enamels; the cross attached to the star via four strong rivets; functional vertical pinback; the reverse maker marked “Juwelier und Goldarbeiter Eduard Quellhorst in München”; measuring 93.23 mm x 92.75 mm; weighing 63.8 grams; of very fine quality manufacture with attractive even patina; extremely fine condition.
