Germany, SA. A Sports Badge, Bronze Grade Type II, by Karl Hensler

(SA-Sportabzeichen in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a central sword on top of a mobile swastika on a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “KARL HENSLER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 46.06 mm (w) x 58.42 mm (h), weighing 16.8 grams, with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
