(Panzergrenadier-Division Großdeutschland Verleihungsurkunden und Bilder). A rare lot of award documents and photographs from the estate of Johannes Ladendorf, Panzergrenadier Division Großdeutschland, including an award document for a 1939 Iron Cross I Class, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Ladendorf as an Unteroffizier of 14. Kompanie, Füsilier-Regiment Großdeutschland, issued at divisional headquarters on 24 September 1944, featuring the handwritten signature of Oberst Karl Lorenz (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 7 December 1942; with Oak Leaves, 12 February 1944), measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), with folding creases and some soiling evident, in very fine condition, and; an award document for a Close Combat Clasp, Bronze Grade, named to Ladendorf as a Feldwebel of 14. Kompanie, Füsilier-Regiment Großdeutschland, awarded for 15 days of close combat, issued at regimental headquarters on 1 December 1944, featuring the handwritten signature of Oberst Heinz Wittchow von Brese-Winiary (German Cross in Gold, 24 December 1941; Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 15 May 1943; with Oak Leaves, 6 April 1944), measuring 148 mm (w) x 208 mm (h), with creasing and material fatigue throughout, in fair condition; accompanied by nine private wartime photos depicting Ladendorf in the field on the Eastern Front, several clearly showing Ladendorf wearing the Großdeutschland cuff title and shoulder straps with embroidered divisional cyphers visible, of various sizes, in extremely fine condition.
