(Heer Feldbinde und Schnalle). A rare Heer Band Leader’s brocade and buckle, the former constructed of a field-grey wool base, overlaid on the exterior by a layer of silver aluminum wire, in turn bisected by dual machine-embroidered red tresses, one end bearing a reverse field-grey leather tongue perforated with nine sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, the opposite end stitched into a loop to accommodate the buckle, unmarked with the exception of an embossed number “110” on the tongue, measuring 45 mm (w) x 810 mm (l), demonstrating minor material fatigue consistent with light wartime wear, in near extremely fine condition; the accompanying buckle constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around a central raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a clip and loop, accompanied by a separate set of attachment claws retained on the belt, the buckle measuring 56 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
