(Heer Gürtel mit Schnalle). A Heer EM/NCO’s belt and buckle, the former constructed of pressed black leather, one end stitched into a loop to accommodate and integral magnetic metal clip, the opposite end bearing a reverse brown leather tongue perforated with eight sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, the reverse of the clip end bears an embossed maker’s mark which wear has rendered illegible, in addition to an illegible handwritten owner’s name on the same end, the buckle end bearing an embossed number “100”, measuring 44 mm (w) x 1010 mm (l), demonstrating material fatigue consistent with wartime field use, in very fine condition; the buckle constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating consistent oxidation and loss of finish similarly reflective of field usage, in very fine condition.
