(Medaillen). A mixed lot of First World War service medals, including a bar featuring two decorations, with a 1914 Iron Cross I Class, constructed of a one-piece silvered and blackened zink alloy, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened core within a ribbed and silvered frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 43.36 mm (w) x 46.32 mm (h), and; an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse maker marked “C.P.” for Carl Poellath, Schrobenhausen, measuring 37.58 mm (w) x 42.60 mm (h); both suspended from a 70 mm-long magnetic metal bar with a dark grey wool reverse liner and horizontal pinback, unmarked, with some oxidation evident to the Iron Cross, in overall near extremely fine condition, and; a Lippe War Merit Cross, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed Lippe rose, the six o’clock arm bearing an institution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm bearing the monogram of Prince Leopold IV, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR AUSZEICHNUNG IM KRIEGE” (“FOR DISTINCTION IN WAR”), unmarked, measuring 40.86 mm (w) x 44.70 mm (h), weighing 20.5 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
