Instituted April 28 1815. A large Guelphic collar used for Museum display, in silver gilt, featuring eight crown links, sixteen lion links and eight cypher links of George Rex, the reverse of links are plain, the central crown link features a U-shaped rod connecting to the collar badge via ring and screw connection, reverse of the center crown features the makers mark for HALLEY, measuring 1170mm in total length, minor wear.

Accompanied by the collar badge, featuring a silver gilt Maltese cross with ball finials, lions in each quadrant, the large obverse medallion features a white handpainted horse on a red enamelled surrounded by a blue ring inscribed NEC ASPERA TERRENT (Difficulties do not terrify), ringed by a green enamel wreath, the reverse medallion presents the cypher of George Rex on a red enamel field, surrounded by a plain ring inscribed MDCCCXV, ringed by a green enamel wreath, the badge is surmounted by crossed swords and a crown, measures 71.70mm (w) x 112.9mm (h – inclusive of crown suspension and integral link), enamel all intact, very minor wear. In total, the collar and collar badge weighing 546 grams, both in extremely fine condition.
