A mixed lot of four medals, including a Baden Merit Medal in Silver, constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile of Grand Duke Friedrich II, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST” (“FOR MERIT”), the obverse designer marked “RM” for Rudolf Mayer, measuring 38.18 mm in diameter, weighing 29.7 grams, in extremely fine condition; an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse maker marked “N. & H.” for Noelle & Hueck, Lüdenscheid, measuring 37.20 mm (w) x 41.38 mm (h), weighing 14.9 grams, in extremely fine condition; a Sudetenland Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, above a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central date of “1. OKTOBER 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), unmarked, measuring 32.10 mm in diameter, weighing 13.8 grams, the obverse demonstrating a small spot of oxidation, in very fine condition, and; a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 48.22 mm (w) x 49.18 mm (h), weighing 25.5 grams, with minor oxidation evident, in near extremely fine condition.
