Germany, Heer. A Pair of Gebirgsjäger Windbreaker Gauntlets

(Gebirgsjäger Windschutzfäustlinge Handschuhe). A pair of exceptionally well-preserved Heer Gebirgsjäger windbreaker gauntlets, each constructed of a field-grey cotton blend. The reverse of each wrist features a cotton-blended strap adjusted with functional magnetic metal snap buckles, with an additional elasticized band set within each wrist, ensuring protection against the elements. A cotton-blended suspension loop emanates from the interior of both, allowing for suspension while in storage. The gauntlets are fingerless but feature separate thumb channels. Unmarked, each gauntlet measures approximately 135 mm (w) x 400 mm (l).
