Korea, Republic. An Order of Military Merit, "Chungmu" III Class Badge

In silver with red, white, light blue, mid-tone blue and dark blue enamels, number impressed "10956" on the reverse, measuring 41 mm (w) x 43 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, chipping evident in the light blue enamels on the centrpiece ring, original ribbon with pinback, very fine.

 

Footnote: The Order of Military Merit was instituted on October 18, 1950. It was awarded to military personnel, for outstanding conduct during wartime or in a state of emergency, originally in four classes.
