Germany, Heer. An Army DAK Tropical Overseas Cap, by Hans Brandt

(Feldmütze). A Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Tropical Overseas Cap constructed of olive coloured cotton, with fold-down side and back panels with aggressively sloping downward scallops towards the front, the front of the cap features a machine embroidered tropical eagle that is factory-stitched to the cap, with a machine embroidered tri-colour (black, white, red) cockade directly beneath, both sides of the cap feature brown enamelled rivets functioning as air vents, the interior of the cap is fully lined with a bright red cotton/rayon-blend fabric, and features multiple stamps, including the size stamp is “55” with an additional stamp of the number “1142” as well as the maker’s stamp “Hans Brandt, Mützenfabrik, Magdeburg-N, Ritterstraße, 12-15,” the cap measures 27 cm (w) x 11.3 cm (h) (folded), and in overall better than extremely fine condition.
