Germany, Wehrmacht. A 1939 Iron Cross I Class, Cloth Version

(Eisernes Kreuz 1939 I. Klasse, Stoffausführung). Reinstituted 1 September 1939. (1939-1945 issue). An extremely well-preserved cloth version of the 1939 Iron Cross I Class, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a black wool base, the obverse with a hand-embroidered silver aluminum wire frame, with a central hand-embroidered black mobile swastika, the reverse with the remnants of an adhesive, unmarked, measuring 52 mm (w) x 52 mm (h), weighing 3.5 grams, in extremely fine condition.
