Germany. A Close Combat Clasp, Bronze Grade, by the Unknown 6-Dot Maker
c. 1944. (Nahrkampfspange in Bronze). In bronzed zink; the obverse with a national eagle and a bayonet and hand grenade in the centerpiece, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides, and with four oak leaves and two acorns on each side; the reverse plain, with a square magnetic backing plate; horizontal fluted (magnetic) pinback with a barrel hinge and a flat wire catch on the reverse; measuring 96.41 mm (w) x 25.80 mm (h); weighing 36.3 grams; with all of its original bronze finish worn off; in overall fine condition.
