(Frontflugspange für Kampf- und Sturzkampfflieger in Bronze mit Etui). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a central circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a swastika, around a central silvered and winged bomb, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a single visible rivet securing the obverse bomb in place, with a barrel hinge and tapering horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 75.80 mm (w) x 25.53 mm (h), weighing 17.6 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux blue leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt inscription of “FRONTFLUGSPANGE FÜR KAMPFFLIEGER BRONZE”, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted white felt medal bed, closing with a metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 90 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), 22 mm (h), the case demonstrates some material fatigue which has compromised to catch’s ability to lock, in overall near extremely fine condition.
