A mixed lot of eight medals, including an Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), above a crossed sword and laurel branch, topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, unmarked, measuring 36.04 mm (w) x 44.17 mm (h), weighing 19.7 grams, missing its suspension loop and with total loss of finish evident, in poor condition; a War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR KRIEGSVERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.49 mm in diameter, weighing 14.2 grams, in very fine condition; a Wehrmacht 12-Year Long Service Medal, constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “TREUE DIENSTE IN DER WEHRMACHT” (“FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE WEHRMACHT”), the reverse bearing a wreathed number “12”, unmarked, measuring 30.19 mm in diameter, weighing 10.4 grams, missing its suspension loop and with loss of finish evident, in fair condition; a Cross for Voluntary War Aid, constructed of zink, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the reverse bearing a central inscription of “FÜR KRIEGS-HILFSDIENST” (“FOR WAR ASSISTANCE”), unmarked, measuring 40.95 mm (w) x 41.52 mm (h), weighing 17.8 grams, in very fine condition; an Austrian War Service Medal of 1873, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, unmarked, measuring 36.02 mm in diameter, 23.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in very fine condition; an Austrian Red Cross Merit MEdal, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, unmarked, measuring 36.60 mm (w) x 48.41 mm (h), weighing 27.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition; a Tyrol Defenders Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, unmarked, measuring 34.05 mm in diameter, weighing 20.5 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in very fine condition, and; a Romanian Order of Faithful Service, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop from a crown suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 30.69 mm in diameter, weighing 18.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
