Germany, Wehrmacht. A Military Administration Service Badge for France

(Militär Verwaltung frankreich). A badge of two-piece construction, in silvered bronze, with red, white, and black enamels, the obverse presents a Wehrmacht-style eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, riveted to an enamelled oval base, reverse presents a horizontal retaining pin, the number “1039” is stamped on the reverse, measures 75.69 mm (w) x 39.45 mm (h), presents enamel damage near the base of the badge, and in very fine condition.
