Hannover, Kingdom. A Langensalza Medal

(Langensalza-Medaille). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile of King Georg V of Hannover, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of “LANGENSALZA 27. JUNI 1866”, the obverse engraver marked “JAUNER” for Heinrich Jauner, Vienna, the edge recipient marked “J. MEYER”, measuring 35.92 mm in diameter, weighing 26.0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
