Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pilot’s Badge, by C.E. Juncker

(Flugzeugführerabzeichen). Constructed of tombak and nickel-silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with an elongated barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “C.E. JUNCKER, BERLIN”, measuring 65.03 mm (w) (inclusive of wingspan) x 52.62 mm (h), weighing 46.2 grams, in extremely fine condition.
