A mixed lot of commemorative First World War Air Force postcards, including three depicting fighter aces Wilhelm Frankl, Hartmuth Baldamus, and Kurt Wintgens, depicted in uniform and with decorations visible, with handwritten dates of death applied to the obverse in each in blue ink, all unused on the reverse, part of a series of First World War notable figure postcards produced by the firm of W. Sanke, Berlin, each measuring 85 mm (w) x 138 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition; three additional Sanke postcards depicted aces Leopold Anslinger, Max Ritter von Müller, and Eduard Ritter von Schleich, the reverse of each unused, all measuring 85 mm (w) x 138 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition; a National Socialist Flyers Corps (NSFK) card depicting fighter ace Albert Dossenbach, the reverse unused, measuring 88 mm (w) x 138 mm (h), with material fatigue evident to the obverse edges in very fine condition; a Kaiser Wilhelm II 25th jubilee card, the reverse bearing a brief handwritten inscription, measuring 90 mm (w) x 140 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; three cards featuring colourized images of Focker aircraft from the First World War, the reverse of each unused and bearing Frankfurt-am-Main studio marks, all measuring 148 mm (w) x 106 mm (h), in overall near mint condition.
