A medal bar for First World War and Third Reich-era Police service featuring six decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W’, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 43.53 mm (w) x 48.18 mm (h); a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1813”, unmarked, measuring 48.43 mm (w) x 48.78 mm (h); a Hemburg-issued Hanseatic Cross, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting a Cross Pattée, the obverse with with red enameled arms and a central red enameled medallion bearing a silvered Hamburg coat of arms, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST IM KRIEGE 1914” (“FOR MERIT IN WAR 1914”), unmarked, measuring 40.10 mm (w) x 44.08 mm (h); an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse bearing an unidentified maker’s mark, measuring 37.60 mm (w) x 44.04 mm (h); a Police Long Service Cross, I Class for 25 Years, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised Ordnungspolizei insignia, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), unmarked, measuring 43.00 mm (w) x 47.66 mm (h), and; an Air Defence Medal, II Class, constructed of aluminum, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE IM LUFTSCHUTZ” (“FOR MERIT IN AIR DEFENCE”), the reverse bearing a central raised date of “1938”, unmarked, measuring 37.86 mm in diameter; all suspended from a 174 mm-long non-magnetic metal bar with a green wool reverse liner and horizontal pinback, retaining a fully-intact maker’s label reading “C.G. ULRICH, HAMBURG”, a high-quality medal bar in extremely fine condition.
