Germany, NSKK. A 1938 NSKK Brandenburg Cross-Country Drive Merit Medal

(NSKK Leistungsmedaille). Constructed of magnetic iron, the obverse bearing a central raised NSKK-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of “1938”, above a raised inscription of “BRANDENBURGISCHE GELÄNDEFAHRT” (“BRANDENBURG CROSS-COUNTRY DRIVE”), the reverse with a central raised mobile swastika, above laurel branches, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR HERVORRAGENDE LEISTUNGEN” (“FOR EXCEPTIONAL MERIT”), unmarked, measuring 102 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
