A medal bar to a recipient with combat and Police service featuring seven decorations, including a 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, without visible marks, measuring 44.38 mm (w) x 48.24 mm (h), with slight oxidation and loss of finish evident to the core and frame, respectively, in near extremely fine condition; a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, without visible marks, measuring 49.76 mm (w) x 49.06 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, unmarked, measuring 38.12 mm (w) x 43.11 mm (h), with consistent but minor oxidation evident, in very fine condition; a Commemorative Medal for Rescue from Danger, constructed of silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised German national eagle overlaid by a central mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a wreathed inscription of “FÜR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR” (“FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER”), the edge stamped with a crescent moon indicating German manufacture, a silver content number of “800”, and a maker’s mark of “PR. M. BLN.” for the Prussian State Mint in Berlin, measuring 25.04 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition; a Police 8-Year Long Service Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central number “8” circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), without visible marks, measuring 38.13 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition; an Anschluss Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flat and the other a length of broken chain, above a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central date of “13. MÄRZ 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), unmarked, measuring 32.09 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition, and; a West Wall Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised pillbox topped by a crossed sword and shovel and a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR ARBEIT ZUM SCHUTZ DEUTSCHLANDS” (“FOR WORK IN THE DEFENCE OF GERMANY”), unmarked, measuring 33.24 mm (w) x 43.02 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; all suspended from a 185 mm-long non-magnetic bar with a dark grey wool reverse liner and horizontal pinback, unmarked, in extremely fine condition.
