(Briefverkehr). A mixed lot of four ghetto and prisoner of war (POW) camp correspondence, including a postcard mailed from Fritz Altschul of Stockholm, addressed to the Oberbürgermeister (Mayor) of Litzmannstadt (Łódź Ghetto), indicted that he had transferred the sum of 50 Reichsmarks to the account of his brother, Erich, according to his last known address, additionally requesting confirmation that the funds were received, dated 22 July 1942, measuring 148 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), in extremely fine condition (note: according to records, Dr. Erich Altschul perished in the ghetto); a Mauthausen aid package envelope, sent to Leo Styperek by his wife, dated 20 April 1943, measuring 155 mm (w) x 95 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; an envelope sent to presumed POW Miroslaw Rekiajtis, dated 11 August 1944, measuring 130 mm (w) x 100 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a postcard to an inmate of the Lublin Camp (Roman), featuring a brief handwritten inscription, 11 January 1944, measuring 145 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
