Constructed of silver with black enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc, bearing a silvered date of “1922” topped by oak leaves and a raised Stahlhelm insignia, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, bearing an etched membership code and date of “15. 3. 1922”, with a silver content number of “935”, maker marked with the logo of Der Stahlhof, Magdeburg, measuring 30.42 mm in diameter, weighing 12.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
