Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon on a parade mount with a horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing a raised German national eagle overlaid by a central mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a wreathed inscription of “FÜR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR” (“FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER”), the edge stamped with a crescent moon indicating German manufacture, a silver content number of “800”, and a maker’s mark of “PR. M. BLN.” for the Prussian State Mint in Berlin, measuring 25.06 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
