Type II (Victor Emanuele III): Bronze, engraved "M. GIBATTI - 17 NOV. 1937 - XVI / MANGASCIA UOLDEGHERGHIS / ALLA MEMORIA" on the reverse, 33.5 mm, on contemporary ribbon, toned, very light contact, extremely fine.

Footnote: Research suggests that the recipient may have been an Askari soldier in the XVI “Adi Caieh” Native Battalion of the Italian Colonial "1st Eritrean (Native) Division".
