First chain is manufactured from steel, incorporating multi-interlocking thick links, the chain with four medals attached via their respective rings, including three American medals: the Army of Occupation Medal (in bronze, measuring 31.5 mm in diameter), the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal (in bronze, measuring 31.8 mm in diameter) and the World War II Victory Medal (in bronze, measuring 36.5 mm in diameter), along with the German Third Reich Armed Forces Long Service Medal, III Class for Twelve Years' Service (in gilt tombac, measuring 30 mm in diameter), the chain measuring approximately 190 mm in length, with a locking clasp closure. Second chain is manufactured from brass, incorporating multi-interlocking links, the chain with a 15.3 mm (w) x 21.8 mm (h) heart-shaped sterling silver lock held in place through two loops of the chain to the lock's shackle, the front marked "STERLING" above a Prop and Wings insignia, the reverse with a keyhole but is missing its key, the chain measuring approximately 185 mm in length. Together, very fine.
