In its cardboard box of issue, marked with the Red Cross insignia above the inscription "Patriae ac Humanitati 1864-1914 K.D." in gold-coloured ink on the lid, medal bed with a raised platform in white felt, measuring 87.5 mm (w) x 91.2 mm (h) x 14.5 mm (d), soiling evident on the exterior and the medal bed, weakened hinged area, box fine.
