Hungary, Kingdom. An Army War Correspondent’s Armband

Constructed of white wool, the obverse trimmed with green wool tresses along both the top and bottom edges, bearing a central inscription of “SAJTÓ” (“PRESS”) in raised red wool letters, one end featuring a grid of nine non-magnetic metal eyelets meeting three magnetic metal clips on the opposite end for a secure and adjustable fit, stamped with an unidentified maker’s mark and date of 1943, measuring 88 mm (w) x 448 mm (l) when unraveled on a flat surface, in extremely fine condition.
