A large lot of private prewar and wartime photos from the estate of U-Boat ace Herbert Schultze, including four images of Schultze with Reich Labour Service (RAD) personnel on review of a labour camp, all printed on matte Agfa-Brovira paper and measuring 118 mm (w) x 85 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; three photos showing Schultze on the deck of a Kriegsmarine vessel with Officers, in discussion and using range finders, all printed on matte Agfa-Brovira paper and measuring 118 mm (w) x 85 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; eight photos showing a U-Boat in dry dock and at sea (presumably on trials), all printed on glossed Agfa-Brovira paper and measuring 82 mm (w) x 108 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a 1941 photo showing Schultze in a Kriegsmarine greatcoat and with his Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves visible, standing with Kriegsmarine and Heer Officers, measuring 92 mm (w) x 134 mm (h) and printed on glossed Agfa-Brovira paper, in extremely fine condition; also including two depictions of Schultze in civilian dress, one dated 1940 and the other a postwar image dated “1969”, accompanied by two photos presumably taken by Schultze on leave, in extremely fine condition.
