Germany, Imperial. A Hanseatic League Napoleonic Campaign Medal in Silver

(Gemeinsame Kriegsdenkmünze für die Hanseatische Legion in Silber). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension, the obverse bearing a central raised inscription of “DEM VATERLÄNDISCHEN KAMPFE, 1813-1814, ZUM ANDENKEN” (“TO THE FATHERLAND CAMPAIGN, 1813-1814, IN MEMORY”), circumscribed by an inscription of “HANSEATISCHE LEGION - LÜBECK, BREMEN, HAMBURG” (“THE HANSEATIC LEAGUE - LÜBECK, BREMEN, HAMBURG”), the reverse bearing raised shields overlaid by the emblems of the Hanseatic cities in high relief, topped by an inscription of “GOTT WAR MIT UNS” (“GOD WAS WITH US”), the reverse engraver marked “LOOS”, measuring 35.90 mm in diameter, weighing 13.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
