(Roter Adler Orden, IV. Klasse). Instituted 12 June 1792 by King Friedrich Wilhelm II. (1864-1918 issue). Constructed of silver with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original tri-fold ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a hand-painted Prussian imperial eagle, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm II, the six o’clock arm maker marked “W” for the firm of Wagner & Sohn, Berlin, measuring 38.77 mm (w) x 41.90 mm (h), weighing 17.5 grams, the enameled medallion demonstrating chips at the 4 and 10 o’clock positions, in overall very fine condition.
